The Boston Globe and Jayski.com both had published the same story earlier today.

I am pretty certian that NHIS will lose a NASCAR date. My guess is that will swap the September date with Texas, in order to pool a second date for Vegas. He may even try to get the IRL back. The scary this is that Bruton Smith has so much money, he could afford to buy NHIS for the dates alone.

yeah, unless those southern Rubes can't see any need to bother with us locals for a piddling $2M gross a year.cuda6666 wrote:If NHIS loses a Nascar date, and manages to stay in business, we'll be in better shape than we are now.

I honestly do not see the connection (the negative one that is) here.
The track was sold and what does this mean to us?
I think COM should right away send a letter to the new onwers and congratulate them on the acquisition and pitch how great a club we are and that we'd like to have continued participating interest in this track, as a matter of fact even submit a proposal to manage the track if they need staff here to look after their interest.
Capitalize on this folks! It's to our advantage!
