October 20-21 NHIS #4

Post by deimos » Tue Oct 02, 2007 8:43 am

1) The track opens at 7 AM Saturday morning.
2) There is NO early entry to the track for any reason on Friday night.
3) We are running chicane-chicane track configuration.
4) Garages will be available at registration.
5) Prepare for sunny and chilly weather. Your car generally likes the cooler air, you may not.
6) Kids and pets must be supervised at all times.
7) If Time Trials run as smoothly as the past two events, we may have up to 60 minutes of open track on Sunday.
8) Enjoy the crisp fall weather of NHIS at 120 mph on the front straight.

I got the e-mail about the details of the upcoming October NHIS event. Has there been word yet as to drivers' registration status for that event, or are we still waiting to hear?

The registration period for the October 20 - 21 event just closed on September 29 (this past weekend). Once we receive the registrations and confirm the appropriate payments it takes a little time to manipulate the figures and prepare assignments.

I would anticipate that the event confirmations will be sent out this week.

If I wear this and nothing else, would it pass the NHIS and COM safety requirements?

I'll speak for the safety stewards and say "no". You will not be allowed on track in nothing but those chaps. You will be remanded to sit in that outfit with Bette the entire event.

Actually, if you wear a long sleeve shirt you may meet the letter of the rules.

Very good point. I just ordered this:

I think the dark hues will complement my skin tone nicely, and provide the proper ambience to go with the Barbra Streisand songs.

Might buy it in white for her to wear during our trip in Hawaii.
Enjoy the Track,
