Track Night Concept
I just started thumbing through my latest issue of Grassroots Motorsports when I saw an article on page 20 titled "Coming Soon: Track Night in America". It seems that the SCCA has stumbled on the value of the COMSCC format. Their twist is to offer it from 4:00-8:00 in the evening. I tried ...

Wow! 5 seconds per lap from tire pressure is certainly an impressive change.

Re: Tire pressure
I ran my Hankook Ventus C51 tires for my 97 Miata cold at 36 and monitored them to run hot at 40 psi. Other people who drove it said it felt loose, but it responded just the way I like it.

Re: Anyone going to the Rolex 24 this year?
I missed it again :( I watch the highlights and start/finish every year and think of how nice it must be to spend the January weekend in Florida instead of the great state of NH. Even with the yellows, this seems like a great event at the perfect time of winter to head for Florida for a week or so. ...

Re: WTB 1.8 Miata Motor
Thanks for the suggestions guys.
I have checked in to the usual sources. The $300 engine guy does not respond and the $1600 is more than I'm willing to pay for a used Miata motor.
My budget for this is about $500 so it may take a while, but one will show up eventually.

WTB 1.8 Miata Motor
There must be a 1.8 liter Miata motor sitting around somewhere just getting in the way. If so, you should get that thing out of your way and replace it with some extra cash. No a lot of extra cash. I'm not looking for the latest in race technology, just a regular 1.8l stock Miata motor. The car it's...

Re: Torque for n/a cam bearing caps?
Guess it's time to by the manual. I'm glad I didn't put 100 ft/lbs on those bolts.
