Why would you remove the VIN tag on a vehicle,especially one you were restoring? It's not like it's in the way or anything. Kinda like filing off the serial number on a firearm: both are federal felony offenses...and usually the contraband is then destroyed.

They are about the same sound level as a new motorcycle..minus the catalytic converters. They are smaller than I imagined...seen in person...
