New Jersey BMWCCA allows passing anywhere on track with a point-by for the black run group which combines instructors and advanced students. It works very well and, as Jack points out, it is a great way to learn traffic management and driving off line.

I thought we were going to Snell 2000 starting this year as well, but the 2006 rule book (Section VII, E.) lists M or SA95 as the minimum standard.

...any update on when the 2006 rulebook will be available? I want to know if I'll have to run against those pesky E30 M3s again.

Call the track office 1-800-RACE-LRP. The track is usually open until 6PM if there's something going on. I've usually been able to drop off the night before.

Check out the Inn at White Hollow Farm. It's $125/night for a double...not cheap, but it's a really nice place and just off the infield entrance to the track.
