Fuel at Thompson?
Can you still buy fuel on-site at Thompson? Looking for an unleaded race fuel anywhere around 98-110 octane. What’s the cost of race fuel these days? $20/gallon?

Used Race Tires?
Anyone know of a place that sells used race tires? I usually went to a place on EBay in the past, but can’t seem to find anything. Looking for 315-35-17’s and 275-40-17’s, and don’t really care about what brand they are.
Thanks,
Joel

Hans Anchors?
Does anyone who is going to The Palmer event happen to have any Hans Anchors that they are looking to sell? I just got a new helmet and thought that I could use my old anchors. But that didn't seem to work out.

Re: Local Amsoil Dealers?
Yes I use their 15w50 racing oil, their gear oil and also their tranny fluid. The stuff is not cheap but it works extremely well. After an event, the oil looks almost the same as before an event. And that is definatelty not true of most other oils that I have tried. It really holds up to heat and ab...

Re: "Near-Track" services database - interest?
FWIW, there is a small rinky dink shop that is like 2 minutes from the track that can mount tires for really cheap. You wouldn't normally think to go there, but I tried it once and it worked out just fine. They charged like 20 to mount and balance 2 tires. There was no one there and it took like 10 ...

Re: Questions about Used Hoosier R6's
Thanks for all the responses. I did not notice the other thread in regards to used tires...so thanks for letting me know about that. I actually did find the JohnB tires last week and I tried to order some, but I didnt get any response yet. I wish there was a phone number on the site so that I could ...

Questions about Used Hoosier R6's
I am hoping to be able to get out to the track a couple of times this year, but can't justify the cost of a new set of tires for the year. So I have been trying to locate some used race tires around. I am having problems finding some used tires. I am looking for (2) 275 40 17's and (2) 315 35 17's i...

So that means that I could retrofit my stroked LT1 into that car, and then have a old style Porsche instead of a rusty Trans Am..........hmmm interesting!

Re: Cobra Power Upgrade .... 538hp/502ftlbs
Are those dyno numbers at the wheel, or the crank? Either way that sounds like a major improvement over your previous motor.....but if those are at the wheel then that thing will be tough to keep the tires on the ground

Re: Garage/Shop space wanted
Mick,
Not sure where you are located, but I have a 34' X 28' garage with a 2 post lift in it that you can use if you want. The garage is located in Holden, MA. Let me know if this is of any interest or too far away.
Thanks,
Joel
