[SOLD]
My dad and I are selling our 1997 BMW M3 2-door race car. Bought the car in 2012 with ~110k on the chassis and since then it has evolved into a fully track-dedicated vehicle, primarily run in time trials with COMSCC.
It is a turn-key track car that is very safe, well balanced, and nearly ready to go wheel-to-wheel racing. The car ran perfectly the last time it came off the track (last lap was a 1:42 at Palmer-1 TT, 6/4/17). This would be a great car for COMSCC (T70/80/90 depending on tires/weight or it's a bit overweight for Super C) or could be made to be a competitive NASA GTS2/3, NASA PT/TT C or B, or BMWCCA IP race car.
Asking price: $14,500

AJ Hartman front canards
Sunroof delete
Hood vent
Body – recently painted white but a few spots/dings from 5+ years of track driving
Car is straight – one left-side accident at 2nd gear corner at Canaan, but car straightened out nicely
Weight: ~2750lb empty
History with COMSCC Time Trials
2015 Overall Championship
4x Class Championships
32 events, 28 wins, 3 FTDs, 15 lap records (12 active, 3 archived)
Lap times in current trim – Palmer: 1:42, NH-CC: 1:15, Thompson: 1:17, Mosport: 1:32, Canaan: 1:00
This car still needs a couple things to go wheel-to-wheel racing, specifically:
Seat is not up to date – it will either need a re-cert or a seat brace
Windshield has a small crack
Needs a kill switch
My dad and I have loved driving this car and developing the handling and performance over the past 6 seasons. With some of the recent tweaks, including the MCS 2-ways, the balance and handling are spot-on. The motor feels strong and the numbers are good. Starting in 2013, Wile Motorsports has maintained the car, and the owner Jake has been a great racing partner who has grown to know this car inside and out and care for it as if it were his own.
