Guess I'll start a T80 rollcall
Who is in T80? I plan on running my m3 on street tires in this class. Any challengers?

I'm in T80 with points to spare on RA1's with the black S2000.

I'll be in T80 on a DOT race tire, dropping the width down to a 275, which might actually make it faster in TT trim.
Actually I wont be in anything unless I get cracking and get the car ready.

Wow Chris,
I am suprised you were able to fit in that class. I feel like my car is still inferior. Almost worth adding some weight to run a Hoosier or something. I can't decide which way to go.

Racing excuses, level 10: pre-excuses...before the race has even begun.savage217 wrote:I feel like my car is still inferior.
Nick, I've talked to both you and Chris about your cars - I'm excited to see how the match-up shakes out.

Well it depends what he did to fit it into T80. I mean if weight were added or mods were taken off, etc, than of course T80 sounds like a fine class to fit into. However, If all that was changed were his tire size from (335 to 275), I would like to see the classification sheet for mods. I am not starting anything, I am just curious and because I am competitive it is only natural for me to respond this way.

This is legit. We just talked about this at the scrutineers' meeting. We plan to make available all classing sheets for the event for any competitor to come around and check it out.savage217 wrote:I would like to see the classification sheet for mods.

Yes, sheets will be posted, it helps keep everyone honest.
In all fairness though my car doesn't have a lot of mods and starts as a mid T70 car. I take the biggest points hit for suspension due to right height adjustable springs, 2-way shocks with piggyback, and sway bars (total 8 points). Brake upgrade (2 points), tires 7 points, engine mods using dyno method (~2 points), weight is about 180 over so -4 points. Grand total, 89 ish. If I was building from the ground up to fit the rules I would do things a little differently there which would give back a couple of extra points without a performance penalty.

It's a tough call. Lighter is faster, but grip is king on the tight tracks like NHMS.savage217 wrote:Wow Chris,

Nick... Chris pulled what was formerly known as a "Darcy" to see to it that he could fit in T80.Chrispy wrote:It's a tough call. Lighter is faster, but grip is king on the tight tracks like NHMS.savage217 wrote:Wow Chris,
