The normal track hours at Watkins Glen are 8:30 AM - 4:30PM. That's right, a day at WGI starts and finishes a half hour earlier than every other track. This early start pushes 'normal' registration, tech, and meeting times up to an earlier time as well. Registration opens at 6:30 AM. Don't be late! We may also have something special going on during tech, which may take an extra minute or two of everyone's time...so please get there EARLY!
...While all of that is true, it is not the reason I started this thread.
We've decided to pay for extended time on Monday. Instead of throwing the checker at 4:30, the checker will drop an hour later at 5:30.
Why? So everyone can enjoy 5 run sessions, not just the usual 4.
Per usual, Bob-B-Que to follow shortly after the checker drops for the day!!

The Glen was a great time!!!! Laura and I can't wait to go back, We wanted to thank everyone in COM who makes this trip so worth while there are too many to list.
I also wanted to thank again everyone who helped derock my car after the trip thru the gravel trap I can't belive how fast we turned it around..
Hopefully I can get thru NHMS4 with out issues..... It looks like the Oil cooler supplier will be paying for the burned up parts as their supplied line melted and sprayed oil on to the exhaust manifold they have had 1 other fire that did not have the Watkins Glen fire crew to help put it out quickly.....
I wanted to post sooner but getting back to work after vacation is hectic to say the least. Bob
