Can you say frustration!
i can't get the damn thing to work
the only thing i can think of is that the picture is too large, but this is not an issue on other boards
can anybody help here?

Hi Mario,
Do you have any specifics about the issue you are having. Are you getting an error message? If so, what does it say?
The forum software has restrictions on the dimensions and file size for avatar images. I just went in and bumped up the maximum size a bit.

PS, BTW i can't get the search thing to work either!

The search function is working for me. Are you getting an error message, or is it just not returning any results?

i guess the problem is that all the pics in my computer are larger than allowed, the smallest i have is 727kb 2240x1488, that's the one i'm trying to post.

Just and FYI, I just updated my profile and added the avatar with no problems. Max size is 100 X 100

i guess i'm going to pass on this avatar thing, Raj was kind enough to downsize the pictures to 96x63 2.16KB , i got the the same results
the browser window shows the location of the picture in my computer but it won't load up the actual picture.
i thank you all for trying to help me out, this turn out to be way more work than it merits
