Is the car for sale?... I just spent 2 months looking for a C-5 Z06 to turn into a track car and couldn't find one. Everything out there was either junk or in pristine showroom condition with a price tag to match....

I'm selling the car to a friend.
If you are considering getting one, this is a good time to get your track items in order!
Did you look on z06vette.com?

Ahh, cool. I owned a 350z. Its like a mini z06.
Make sure you hook up with Mike to learn all things 350z.

Ya, I guess the Grocery Getter got the best of Mike and he went upscale with a new 370Z for 2009. Don't know if Raj is going to track his 350Z this year, so it will be nice to have a least one out there.

Dam, I wanted that racepak. Oh well.
..and am I reading that right, MSRP for the brake pads was $750 rear and $1100 front?

No, those are two different companies (carbotech and cobalt) and two different sets of pads (a set = front and rear). These are pretty much the best pads you can get for a c5. Pricey!

Ah, makes more sense now. And I thought German cars were expensive to run.

You may want to rethink your proposed pricing on your brake pads. I can buy a set of the cobalt pads front and rear from LG Motorsports for $518 for the set. Those are brand new. If I were to buy used pads, I would expect to pay what they are worth. (if you say they have 80% life left, I would expect to pay 80% of the price for them).
Just my two cents.
Are you willing to sell fronts only?

holy cow, that price is good..
I'm hesitant to split them, but whats your offer?

I would think that a fair price for the XP10 fronts (Carbotech) would be $140 ($199 brand new *.70 based on your assessment of 7/10 life reminaining). And a fair price for for Cobalts would be $269 *.80 (based on 8/10 life remaining) or $215.
How do the Cobolts compare vs the carbotechs? I have always run corbotech pads, so I am a bit hesitant to switch over, but I would be interested to know what you thought about them.
Thanks,
Joel
