An infra-red transmitter mounted at trackside automatically triggers the In-Car Timer with 100% accuracy each and every lap - no 'thumb' errors. Use the Double Range transmitter where access to the edge of the track is limited. Standard transmitter works up to 60 feet. (Transmitter requires 4 C-cell batteries not included. Receiver requires a 9V battery also not included.)
