I'm looking for a trailer.

I live in a tight urban neighborhood so something small and maneuverable would be best. A 15" open deck model would be ideal, but I wouldn't rule anything out. Even a compact enclosed might work.

Oh, a 15" trailer? I have one of those that can even fit on my desk... Do you really want a 15" trailer or a 15' trailer?

Really? Even 15' seems small by comparsion to what most say is essential... 16'-18'.

A lot of E30 folks use the Dively ET154B-102 which has a 15' deck and it's a good fit.

I'm hoping to find a used trailer of higher quality before the spring. If not, I'll just buy the pick up a Dively.

That is the Dively trailer I have, which I picked up from Jim Alley. The trailer has served me well. I have modified mine to include a cargo box at the front, and also have custom side pods which hold a set of wheels.

If the right deal on an upgrade (enclosed or full aluminum) comes along, I'll be looking to sell the Dively. I'll let you know.

That said, the Dively is relatively lightweight, compact, and well constructed. Considerably less than a similar aluminum trailer too!

I found this trailer on Craig's List. It's the same one you wanted but in 18' instead of 15'. Check it out.

I used a 14 foot steel open trailer for years with my second gen RX7. Today I would recommend the extra cost of aluminum for better towing with a light tow vehicle.

Hummmm.. mine is a 16' total length is 22' fully upgraded by Ted.

I have the 15" Dively. It's plenty strong enough, but only weighs 1350 pounds. Holds my cobra fine and I've used it to haul my daughters 325xi back and forth to the dealer when it died. Tracked nice to Mont Tremblant last year. $2100 at http://trailerplaceinc.com/economy.htm or you can drive to western PA and save $150. I waited 4 months last year to see a good open trailer come up and just ended up buying new. Stephan beat me out by about an hour on his steal!

Hummm... I got a point-by from the owner of the trailer... he was true to the call and even with others calling him frantically (while I was already there) offering about $300 more (you would not be the one!?!) he stuck to the deal he originally made with me. I am still in touch with him!
It has since been completely upgraded with 4-wheel brakes, tire rack, spare tire, wiring up to code, lights up to code, jack and tool box. I even had a bracket installed for a winch. All good work from Ted (NHSILVERSTI).

No, I called him about the trailer and he told me he already made a deal with someone an hour ago. I asked him if it was you and he was quite surprised and said yes.

Thanks for the info. Did yours come with D-Rings or the chain brackets for tie-downs? All the pics I've seen have the chain brackets which I'm not crazy about.

Ted Drotloff must be on vacation! I can't believe he hasn't jumped in here. He builds a mean custom trailer Mick.
