New England Forest Rally
Im thinking about heading up to do some spectating at the rally. Anyone else going to be up there?

Spectating stages at the Mexico rec area start at 2. expose starts at 1.. and its about a 4 hour drive from here... so Id giton it if youre gonna make it..
Theres another spectating stage later in the pm today, but they are bussing people there. sat /sun should be a blast but not as good spectating.
Some roads are washed out from the recent storms so check the road closures.. should be a good time if you make it mark! I had to bail last this morning, cuz of that inconvenient job that keeps getting in the way..

Ive been up there in the past years and due to land access constraints, the stages have been getting harder and harder to get to. There arent as many official spectating areas as there used to be. Although the reccy areas are a treat to wander around in..
When the stages were mostly in maine, there were lots of logging roads to get in an out of stage areas where you could just hike it into the woods and get great views of stages, but thats been harder to do now that everythings moved locations.
Its definately a rally where you get the most out of it by volunteering to work stages. THATS where you get the best action! Nonetheless, if you havent been its a real blast hanging out with all the low key rally guys/gals, and where else are you encouraged to crawl in and all aournd these cars with no one really caring!

From what Ive heard you used to be able to drive out along the course to find a good spot to watch before the stage started. If I get there early is there any chance to still do that? I like the idea of spectators bombing down the course unsupervised but I could imagine that getting nixed as the event has gotten more organized.
Anything else I should know before I head up?
