Where can I get my Champ car tires mounted?

Post by fact5racer » Sat May 19, 2007 8:16 pm

I have been having trouble finding a place that can mount my champ car tires without cutting them (2 for 2 so far). Anyone know where I can get them done close to North Hampton, NH?

Gary, what is getting cut- the bead or the sidewall? We have a very good machine for extremely difficult tires- ultra low profile and runflats. I've done cantelevered tires for our Porsche and ultra stiff race rubber on heart attack
($700+ ea.) rims. Can't say I've done any IndyCar tires though.

Am sure you tried him, but did you try Glenn at GTP?

The tires are too big for Glen, the last set he had to give to someone else to mount. I bet Scott as long as you have a guy there that has patience and cares he could probably do them. What do you think? I could bring them down to your house today if you want.

I'm game. I am also the guy that will be doing them. Someone will be home all day- I need to do a couple of chores at some point.

Seabrook Tire

I have used Seabrook Tire for lots of jobs although all my formula car tires are now mounted by the Hoosier guys at the track.
The Seabrook guys all have many years mounting tires and are very skilled and professional. I would expect that if they say they can do it you can trust them.
