Nick, Derek T. and I will probably be trailering up together Sunday. I believe he is camping but I have a room booked at the Travelodge in Oshawa. You are more than welcome to caravan up with us if you want to.

"Mark, the showers are great ..." Yes,Stephan...there are good/great showers..however, there is one that should be avoided (like the plague..) I asked about showers and was directed to go "down there". It was down in the spectator camping area, located on the side of a knoll before the woods. I drove down first to check it out..only to find no lighting. I returned with a flashlight...and what that beam illuminated...I wouldn't force anyone to use. Reminded me of the Shawshank Redemption escape route taken by Andy Dufresne!
The good/great showers were very nice. :D Boy..I sure wish I could go... :(

This is a four-lap tour of Mosport at a slow speed. I'm posting it so that drivers who haven't been to the track can see what it's like at less than warp speed.

I understand, though. Clearly the ST4 record set by a meager 1.6 Miata is too intimidating for the both of you. Chickens!
What's the deal with your ST4 records, canadian tracks and the fact that it always rains now? Did you do a deal with the devil?

Sorry Dave! Looks like Will's ST4 record will stay another year!

That record will definitely fall at some point. The new blood in ST4 is a LOT faster than those old men who used to run. ;)

I left just when they downpour started by rungroup 8 and the TT session was halted. So what happened? did it get re-staged?
I have not checked results or my time yet but I think SSB record has been "cracked" (Sorry Matthew B! :D )

You did well NIck, better than the lap times you were doing at practice!
I sensed Dave W. got caught with a "bit" o' rain given the Mini edged him a bit
SO I still don't know what happened in the end?

Thanks Stephan, although my times in the TT were pretty much what I was running in practice. On day 1, I had an old set of v710s and ran :39.80. I swapped to the better set for the last session of day 2 and managed a :38.69 (I didn't tell you about this newer, magical set). In the TT, my timer showed 0.22s slower than my best practice lap with most of that time being lost in T9/10 because for 2 laps in a row I forgot how to transition weight from left to right...

The post I made yesterday either disappeared or didn't make it all the way through before I closed the browser. Either that or this 'old man' is loosing it faster than he likes to admit!

Yup, Wittmer got screwed. Dave drove hard the entire event, including in the rainy TT. He was on-track to blow the record to bits.

I hope that all of my old ST4 records fall ! That said, I'd prefer if the records fell as they were earned; in a driven-to-the-track salvage-title 1.6 Miata shod with worn Toyo RA-1 tires and Axxis Ultimate brake pads with stock ECU and flapper-door air flow meter. ;) :D

There were years where a time trial like this one would have been considered "rained out", and the results set aside. It rained HARD with some thunder for a very long time. That said, I'm glad that we finished the time trial as those that ran in the dry ran very good laps and set several well-deserved records. There were approximately 8 participants that time trialed after the rain started, some of whom decided not to run in the rain. I believe all 8 of them had competitors that ran in the dry.

That's one of the prime examples why I believe the Board of Directors made a huge mistake by over turning the "best 7 of 8" championship scoring method...
