Doh.
DOH is right! Was at NHIS today getting Hoosier tires sorted and the police were there doing their thing. While all the snow put a damper on our track days, the sound of police cars in the huge open lot by the opening gate doing their thing with tires screaming only made the yearning THAT much more difficult.
Enjoy the Track,

What are the current conditions at the track? Snow on the infield? on the track?

Alas, did not go inside but there was some snow around in places outside. Can only guess about inside conditions, but i bet it is snow-topped mud season on anything that is not tarmac. Frankly, Charlette is looking better by the passing day, as weather is better there and is relatively near many tracks. But that is a topic for another discussion.

NHIS test days are the best bang for the buck going. More track time than you could use with plenty of time for adjustments.

The best day I had there was forecast for light rain. I went anyways. It never did rain at NHIS. Mike Pappagorgio (SRT-4) and I (GLHS) had the track all to ourselves.

My only regret is that we didn't think to run the track clockwise :!:

Who showed up?

Post by brucesallen » Tue Apr 10, 2007 9:45 am

I was outside the track yesterday morning getting my Hoosiers mounted and Robert Smart said he was there from 6:50 AM. He saw two cars show up for the event. Doh!!

Now I am looking forward to snow Thursday that will cancel the Friday BMW club event.
