I'm doing this on Friday (the 13th!):
http://www.wmc-bmwcca.org/hpd_school.html
I had declined this in order to do the COM event. Of course the weather shows snow flurries on Thursday. Who knows. Well, I already changed brake pads....
Good thing RedRoof gives last-minute cancellations!

Thursday is scheduled to be an NHIS "Test Day". Open to all holding some type of license (COM qualifies) for competition. It is $150.00 for the day, or $100.00 for a half day.
Unfortunately, the weather may once again be the enemy. But if it is a go, I'll be there at 900AM for a day of shaking down the new car and shaking the rust off these bones!

Do you have to pre-register, or just show up?
Roll bar w/ diagonal brace required for convertibles?
I might just hafta make the trip...

Oh, that one. Do they not have 1/2 day motorcycles and 1/2 day cars and we never know which one is first?
Aslo config is it not North Chicane/South Oval?
I'd be keen on going too!

As long as there is no snow, I will be there for open track. I am hoping to spend more time in the cockpit than under the hood, but who knows! Keeping my fingers crossed.

Joel, I hope you have a MUCH better season this year than last year!
NHIS website says this Thursday is cars only from 9am-12pm, and 1pm-5pm. The few times I have gone, it has not been very crowded. No pre-reg - just arrive and drive, but make sure you bring your COM license. Sometimes they check.

One thing to remember about test days, no rules. There will be fast cars at the track who will not wait for point-bys or won't hesitate to dive down into corners to do their own thing. I personally enjoy the open time, but this is certainly an event to keep your eyes open.

Good "point"! add this to rain factor plus season opener plus South Oval config and it can be on the "interesting" side.

I'll pass if it is a downpour.

Can't learn much about a car setup when driving over the tops of puddles (nothing positive, anyway!).

			Current forecast = 70% chance of rain/snow, high = 38F.
