Hi Alex,
Would it be aright to do one pull open headers and one through the mufflers? I don’t want to pee off your neighbors around the shop. I’m trying out a new exhaust system this year. Tired of shooting the super traps at the corner workers and peeling them off every time I put the car on the trailer.

I'm pretty flexible that day so just give me a time and I'll be there.

Mike, that's fine with us. We're working on a relatively soundproof room which may or may not be done by then. Either way it's not a problem. The neighbors will love it.

Shawn, sounds good. I'll get the schedule done in a few days.

Hi Alex,
Make that one Mustang, with strait headers. I haven’t received all the parts for my new system yet. If I do I don’t know if I can get it in on time. I can supply earplugs.

Thanks Mike

I am going to have to cancel out on this. Something has come up and I am not able to make it. So you can either fill my slot with someone else, or just have more time for each person on the list.

Sorry,

COM Dyno Day at DSG

Post by Shawn624 » Sat Mar 24, 2007 5:18 pm

Guys,

That was Great!!! I ended up with a ton more horsepower after an hour on the dyno and some minor adjustments. It's hard to get that kind of horsepower for that much money. :D

I'll have to get the Mustang down there next.

Hey Shawn (and you knew this was coming!!), you better keep that special tool a secret! Wouldn't want other RX7 tuners to know about your magic hammer and pliers(Darn, gave it away, huh?) :D
Thanks to Alex, Bill and Matt who made my first dyno visit very informative and rewarding. These guys know their stuff! :!:

What a great day. It was really nice meeting you guys.

Shawn had an innovative way to wring extra horses out of the RX- a hammer and a pry bar.

We're going to secure your kill switch for you too btw!!!

Sam's car made really crazy power in stock form. We later had a Yamaha R1 motorcycle on the dyno, completely stock and it made 161 whp, a mini cooper 1275cc blasting down 55whp, then a Porsche Cayman made 240.

Pry bar, duct tape, hammer and pliers - I could never figure out what all those other tools were used for. :)
