She's no looker really. Blueish purple, actually a very deep and nice color, unfortunately marred with sap stains. I bought it from a associate prof at Harvard. Motor is strong, trans is good. Shows signs of previous poseur life with tint adhesive on windows, (took a week to remove all adhesive) seats never cared for etc.. Probably the best purchase of my automotive lifetime though as the total investment stands at 2500 bucks. I bought E36 M3 suspension, new tie rods, washer pump, rearview mirror glass and center mirror, various interior trim, stereo head unit, a driver's seat and freshened the fluids for the above cost.
I'm thinking that with some OEM Ebay wheel takeoffs and good tires that she'll go pretty fast. The motor makes this car. The rip and pop from the factory exhaust on factory downshifts is sexy. Much better than the M20 motor which made a symphony of valvetrain noises and just sounded strained at high engine speeds.
