Was at WH lapping day yesterday and a regular hot shoe/instructor had a new BMW X6M SUV on track. 5200lbs..stock run flats..stock 570hp...and was turning consistent 1:56 lap times with not much drama. To say impressive was an understatement.

I ran an X6 M at Circuit of the Americas, and I was hitting 140-mph on the back straight. The craziest thing about this video is I can calmly talk to the camera at that speed, because the vehicle is so insulated from the driving experience that there's no engagement whatsoever.

The other crazy thing? I'm not wearing a helmet.
