In the 70's I just about gave up on the car factories ever making fun fast and beautiful cars. Glad that didn't last long. Todays "street" cars are nothing short of amazing.
Very expensive,but amazing.
I read recently Chevrolet is building 500 of the 2016 Corvette Z06-C7.Rs for street use.. 
....yellow or black are your only choices. Wonder if they will come with barf bags in the glove box...
