Wings, spanners, bonnets - I'll need Les or Hayden to translate all this for me.

Found an OEM splitter and an un-broken heater control fascia molding, both of which are very rare, so the parts are still accumulating.

Too much work on the house this weekend, the only work that got done was drilling out about half the spot welds on the seat mount frames, and cutting out more of the floor pans. That and the suspension got ordered: GAZ adjustable struts with needle bearing strut mounts on the front, GAZ adjustable shocks for the rear. Still working on spring rates due to the F/R balance problem.

can i ask you a dumb question ?
why did you order the shocks if you don't know what spring rates your going to use . the struts and shocks should be valved to match the springs .
my self on any car i have done suspension work to i never order the dampers 1st . i do the spring rates 1st ( thats ez to do ) then order the dampers to go with the springs .
the ajusters are only for fine tuning your suspension and most all can not compensate for a spring to damper deferents more than 15 to 20 LBS .
you want to find a spring damper set up that your ajusters are pretty much set in the middle of your ajuster settings .
the reason is say your at a track with a lot of bumps in the braking areas . you then can change your compression setting to a softer setting to stop the car from skipping over the bumps and bump up or speed up your rebound settings to move your suspension back to the road faster so the dampers will not hydrolock and skip over the bumps as you run thru them . that way your wheels will track better to the road serface .
the hole point of having ajusters is to do your fine tuning and not to get your dampers to work with the spring rates .

Not a dumb question. There are only 3 adjustable shocks made (Gaz, Spax and Koni), and two of them have provision for custom valving, which I'm going to have to figure once the car is assembled and weighed. The deeper I get, the more apparent that the weight, springs, sway bars, and ride height and wheel diameter are going to be a "try it and see" solution.

so leave it to me to take a stick and hit a beehive with it . how many english people can you piss off at one time ?
just go on the english car forums and tell them they call all the parts of a car wrong !
what the hell if they did not invent the car then why in gods name would they think it's right or ok to change the names of the parts on the car . if the germans came up with a kotflygel (fender ) why would the english call it a aerodynamic device that gives lift (wing) . if they did not take that thing they were wearing on there feet and bolt it to the back of the car (boot) then why in hell is it called that . it's a trunk ! a trunk is some thing you put your clothes in an american took it off the back of a carriage and bolted it to the back of a car and guess what it's still a trunk .
leave it to me to piss off all of england for saying that ! 21 pages of hate replys but am i right ? if you did not invent the product then who are you to change the name and then say the rest of the world is all wrong for calling it a deferent name than us english . after all we invented the english language ! they really got pissed when i said no you just took it from many other languages and called it your own . why do you think so many words cross over to the english language . that just pissed them off more !

coupe or convertible? Yes, I'm interested, thanks. If it's a V8 it may have the 4:55 LSD rear end. Thanks!

So the Rimmer order came in. I've got a TR7 kit on my living room floor!

Notice the problem with the floor pans? Two of the same side...gotta get that fixed ASAP.

Love the plaid interior, though.

We really start cutting this afternoon. See you at the banquet, I hope!
