Camping on Sunday should be entertaining. Wouldn't want to try pitching a tent in 50 mph winds though unless it was designed for Everest. Campers will be rocking and rolling but hopefully won't blow away :)

If worst comes to worst just drive up Monday morning when you feel comfortable and safe.

Nate thanks for the offer ! i have this 1939 ford pick up i need finished . i asked my worker (javier) to come in on saturday and get it color sanded and buffed because i was taking monday and tuesday off . the hurricane should hit us about 5 or 60 AM and last untill about 4 or 5 PM . if i leave after it passes over i will just drive into it later on my way north ? that makes me think if i really want to run on monday i should just get up at 3 AM and head north then . the other thing is do i load my car on the trailer and let it sit out side in a hurricane ? or get up at 1:30 or 2:00 then load up and head out . THIS SUCKS !!!!!!

Good Luck Mark, I typically leave at 4 AM to get to NHMS, the one advantage of driving at that time of day is that you pretty much have the road to yourself. My plan is to load the car Saturday before the rain starts, lash it down and then park in an open area away from any trees. I figure I'll get a free car wash out of it  ! I have some trees near where the car is usually parked that scare me a little on a windy day. Then if the world hasn't ended on Monday AM I'm good to go. I hope my plan of little tree/road damage getting to the highway works, as I think that fallen trees may be the biggest issue around my area. Once on the highway I would guess it should just be small debris. I hope you are able to get through the storm with minimal damage to anything.

I think you should post this on a header topic on EVENTS and send out a full e-mail blast.

If anyone is savvy enough, it was posted Saturday in the EVENTS posting and John sent an email blast to all entrants on Saturday. What more can we do????

Good for Concord. 25% of Merrimack has had no power since noon and the prognosis is "multiple days".
Just filled 5 gas cans ($91.00!). Makes you wonder, what if we had a real hurricane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
