That's great, some video of our Formula Ford. I think it's OK now to reveal that the BOD tasked us, as the owners of a very fast and highly maneuverable car, to provide passing practice for classes like SSC. This driver performed very well, not passing when he shouldn't and completely avoiding pulling over and doing a touchdown style dance on the hood of his car afterwards.

Others of you may have seen us out in the big bore practice sessions where we used our car's abilities to appear as a white road cone, which was strangely in different places as it was passed each lap. Examination of the FF, in a secret BOD meeting afterwards, revealed a complete absence of tire marks on the body and no trace of oil from British cars passing over it.

In order to preserve the integrity of possible future testing, the Board of Directors will routinely disavow any knowledge of this driver testing...

On another note, what's under all that plastic sheeting at the outside of turn 6? I thought I was going to find out a couple of times...

Repeating my youtube comment here - Thanks for the Corolla footage! Fun to watch the 3-wheeling. Tire smoke braking into T3? I remember locking up the wheels once, you probably caught just that. Also, I realize my lines through the bowl and T9 are horrible :? - definitely need to work on that!

Apologies for not pointing you (and many others) by between 10 and 11. Reason: I am usually too busy wrestling my three-wheeling car out of 10, balance the soft suspension through 11, settle for straight-line braking into 12. That's why I give people brief waves before braking into 9 so that you know I am aware you are behind me, waiting to pass.

PS had I known the bowl was that well-padded I would have gone in a bit more boldly :D : ... hope your car did not get scraped up.

Mark:  I suppose if I could keep it all the way leaned into the bumpstops, it should be quite stable :D !!!

Actually, this car is way better for LRP - went there this Saturday with Ian. The long sweeping turns let you carry your speed, and the smooth transitions are fine with the soft suspension. That track is such a blast! (Videos on my youtube channel, if you are interested in seeing that track driven slower than you drove it ever before!!!).

I have never been to LRP.You and the 'bean machine" have. Between you and me,you hold the record for fastest lap of LRP. Lucky devil!

I passed an F430 there first time I went - twice :D ! Novice group though... this time in the intermediate group, I did not make a single pass.

Anyway, you definitely need to try out Lime Rock one day. The track is freshly re-paved and is a complete blast to drive, a neat short rollercoaster that will have you holler as you fly over the crest after the faaast turn up the hill! Yayyyy G-forces (and I am in a Corolla!).
