I guess it depends on what is "local" for you. The only place I know here in eastern MA is HMS Motorsports in Danvers.

Unfortunately, not.
I will checkout DuBois.
I went to HMS and tried a few HJCs. Thank you!

Re: Where to buy SA helmets locally
I purchased a new helmet from HMS this year. Selection was limited but I ended up with an Aria GP-7. I planned on an HJC for price reasons. They didn’t have a HJC carbon and the models they did have were heavier than my old helmet. After trying a Aria I was surprised at the quality, it fit better and was lighter than my old helmet (even though it was not carbon).
If you didn’t try an Aria I would suggest you do.
They also offer a COMSCC discount so make sure you ask. - Paul G.

Thanks Paul! Yeah. The Arais looked good, but I was aiming for 300/400 price range. Ideally, I find a Bell somewhere.
DuBois carries Zamp helmets. I've never heard of them until now. I will try to make it over there and see what those are all about.

Re: Where to buy SA helmets locally
I've purchased 4 Zamp helmets and could not be happier with them. Having had "other" helmets for years I was skeptical, but after my $650 CF Simpson helmet fell apart (made in china) and they told me to pound sand,I figured I'd give Zamp a try. The Zamp full face start around $210 (free shipping from Speedway Motors) for a SA2020. They also make a very nice HANS setup (fit well and are SFI rated) and have package deals available (Helmet and HANS) for around $420. Money saved is money earned!

I’ve also read a lot of folks online liking their Zamp helmets. - Paul G.

A place to take a look at for Bell Helmets is Seymour Performance Products in Marlboro, MA. They are a race shop that specializes in "Midget" style cars for circle track racing but have a small showroom that usually stocks some Bell Helmets. I have done business with them in the past and found them very helpful. For what it is worth, I agree w/ the thread analysis of the Zamp helmet option. I have 2, both ordered over the web taking a little bit of a gamble on size and they fit just as I hoped. The quality seems quite good and when related to the price the value is outstanding.
