Body shop recommendation
Body shop recommendation
Hello:
I'm looking for a body shop to do a paint job for my 93 Civic hatchback race car build. I'm not looking for a show quality paint job as this is a wheel to wheel race car and something like a 1 stage paint will be good. Something that's looks good from like 5 ft away, haha. I just don't want to do it myself as it's a pain to set up a "garage paint booth".
I'm located in the Beverly, MA area. Can anyone recommend me one? I really appreciate it.

We've used Precision. They're a SCCA racing family (father and son). They do great race car work for a good price.
They do all of Flatout's work as well.

Thank you again for the info. I will check them out.
I see that you are going to run the Mid-Ohio AER race with Wolfpack? Well, I was going to plan to run that race too but my team Steve's car could not make it. Therefore, my season is done.
Anyways, good luck to your team and bring back a nice big trophy!

Re: Body shop recommendation
Dans Autobody next to Fastrack in Peabody Ma does great work. They painted Scott’s BMW and repaired Troys car. Be worth discussing with them. Dan runs an S2000 with the club.

Re: Body shop recommendation
If its a race car MAACO used to be the best bang for you buck.

Re: Body shop recommendation
I have decided to go with Maaco as they are the best bang for the buck. I'm just looking for a single stage paint as I will be doing all the prep work. Too cold to paint.
As for Dan's. I'm sure they do good work but the cost was way out of my budget. Also, this is a w2w car so it will get banged up for sure.
Thank you all for your replies.
