SOLD 2002 Toyota Tundra tow vehicle

Yup, I’m moving on from this truck. My plan was to go 300k miles, but Deb’s faith in Toyota isn’t as strong as mine. Trips to Mt. Tremblant and the Glen this year, she’s worried there will be added “adventure”.

So, before I brave the Craigslist world, I’ll start here.

2002 Tundra access cab, Limited . TRD suspension. 214k miles. 4.7 liter v8 automatic 4WD. Leather interior, PW, PDL, cruise
Good- bed liner, tracrack system, good tires, just replaced radiator timing kit and water pump. New exhaust last year, new fancy radio. 2 inch receiver, 7 pin connector trailer brake controller. Tows my Miata on open steel trailer great. 6.5ft bed holds two sets of tires plus Paul’s or Riopell’s when needed plus tool boxes.

Not as good - missed out on the free frame replacements by Toyota, as it was solid at the time. Had minor frame rust last year, patches applied and should be good another few years. Body looked good for a 17 year old truck until a month ago, a minor fender bender has added some character lines. I banged it out and spray canned it, so it looks presentable. If you replace d the front bumper and spent a few dollars at a body shop it could be pretty again. Interior shows some wear . Front rotors developing some shake.

If it wasn’t for the long hauls, I’d drive this locally without a care. The aluminum trac rack would also make a it great work truck- or play truck- the former owner carried his kayaks on it.

Similar miles and condition are going for $ 6-7000; with the recent damage I’m thinking $4500 .
