2016 COMSCC - Upcoming Events March / April / June

Happy Friday folks! With the 2016 season quickly approaching we wanted to send you another update with some reminders. Please read below and let us know if you have any questions.

Registration for our first event is almost full (7 spots left). The Test Day at Canaan Raceway Park is April 23, 2016. The event is for licensed drivers and instructors only. We are limiting registration to 45 people. The event format will include run groups and tech inspection. There will be no time trial / competition aspect to this test day.

Couple of Canaan Event items:

1. If you are not planning to be on track for this event you are welcome to come help us with Tech inspection, flagging and other light volunteer work. It will be much appreciated since we have a limited group and this is our first time at Canaan.

2. HLRA for Instructors: Instructors headed to Canaan who are not planning on driving will be permitted to get into the passenger seat of participating members. We want to encourage instructors to attend and become familiar with the track. In order to follow proper procedures for this and have the required waiver paperwork all squared away neatly for the club, we are opening up a HLRA registration option for the Canaan event on MSR. Instructors can register for 'free' HLRA and jump in cars (as passengers only - no driving). You will need to go through the normal check-in / waiver signing process at the event.

Registration for our 2nd event at NHMS will open this weekend. NHMS Event#1 is May7th & 8th 2016.

Our next BOD meeting is on Wed April 20th, 2016 at Salvatore's Restaurant in Andover, MA. The meetings begin at 7:30pm but most arrive early for dinner prior to starting the meeting.

I'm not sure (nothing has been discussed about this via BOD) but generally our first event there is Chicane / Chicane configuration.
