Points for camber plates?

Post by TXBDan » Mon Feb 15, 2016 3:26 pm

Hi all,

I'm adding camber plates to my E36 for next year. The plates use a spherical bearing and of course allow for camber/castor adjustment. Am i correct in thinking this is a two point modification?

1 - Non-factory Trim suspension bushings or spherical bearings, except rubber or poly
1 - Non-factory Trim/modified suspension components which enable eligntment settings beyond factory trim capability

Assuming that's correct, I guess i'm free to go nuts with spherical/adjustable bits, like lower control arms, RTABs, etc, without further penalty, eh?

Thanks,
Dan

Just 1 point - the stock hats are already spherical!

Hah! What weight are you planning to run, and what's your current tire selection? Any motor mods? Suspension?

Weight is a good question. I really need to find out what my car weighs so i can play with the numbers. It has deleted sunroof, A/C, back seats, and has race seats, but also has a roll bar.

Tires are NT01s, suspension is TCK DAs, sway bars. Motor is mostly stock, but has M50 manifold and CAI.

The smartest points build is probably bone stock with the stickiest tires and lightest weight. But where's the fun in that?!
