It sucks that the owners knew how much oil was pissing out of their engine, but still felt it was OK to run and drop oil on the track and over who ever was behind them.

Paul, sounds like your new motor is running sweet! Too bad about the oil slick,,that was a lot of oil! What is the lap timer you are using?

The car should have been black flagged. An oil mist like that get all over and in your car making it impossible to fully remove plus it gets all over the track. No experienced driver should ever drive a car on track that he knows is leaking a fluid. It's bad enough when it's an accident but to know and still drive is unconscioncable .

Great run Paul.

It looks like not only oil but no point-byes. They were grounded when Nick Efremow complained.

Mark, the lap timer is the Aim Solo:
http://www.aim-sportline.com/pages/solo ... s-solo.htm
First time using it. So far so good and the predictIve lap time feature is great. The car is running well. Feels a lot better/faster but that isn't reflected in my lap times.

In terms of the oil, I certainly wasn't intending for my video to cause any ill feelings towards anyone. I actually had no idea it was oil (thought I screwed up applying rainx, which is why I kept making things worse with my wipers and fluid). When I was done with 1/2 a can of break clean on my windshield and still saw all the stuff on the front of my car, tried to wipe it off and figured out what it was.

Luckily it was the last 10 mins of the session and I really didnt loose track time. By the time I was to my garage spot I think the checkered flag had come out.

A little late but here's a few laps from Tuesday practice, still need to figure out the time trial since it takes me 5+ laps in a session to get up to a good lap time.

Also, what are you mad about at the end of your TT (4:38 in video)?

Track out more, pretty much everywhere...especially T10.

I was too slow in the oval (duh).
I tried to do 6 harder than I had all event and I think I ended up early apexing 6 and scrubbing too much speed.
Possibly too much steering input through 10.
Not tracking out enough as Cy said.
A few bad shifts on the front straight and on the hill.

Overall it just didn't feel quick to me. IIRC I did a :28. That was 2 seconds slower than I had run.

Maybe I'm overanalyzing... Sometimes I can become too competitive for my own good.

You've also got an extra 6+ feet of T6 track-out to use if you need it so try going into the corner a bit faster. If you early apex it you've got extra track to compensate. Just remember to expect the camber change over the crest, as it requires a slight steering adjustment when you cross it. I emailed you my new line through T6 :D

Bob, I like your line in the oval better than mine - probably good for 2-3 car lengths beginning to end. When I was behind you, you didn't brake going in- maybe a little lift that's all? I see a couple other places I need to work on too. Thanks!

No. He just disconnects his brake lights so that it LOOKS like he isn't braking. ;)
