Hi Guys
Checkout the video of the new track being built in NH. The guy is on an ATV, I hope they widen the bridges.LOL It seems like it will be a fast track. Here is the webste:
http://www.clubmotorsports.com . I had a great time racing with everyone this year. See everyone on 5 months.

It does look promising...and hopefully, they keep it open to all clubs to rent the track, and not follow in Monticellos footprints, making it members only..

Andre is a Spec Miata guy that we race with. It should be open to clubs.

Wow, that's great to see progress being made. I've followed this project since its inception and am really happy things are finally underway. I'm on their mailing list, why in the world didn't we get an email about this progress back when it was posted on September 1st!!??

We have current, or recent past, members who paid their "life time" membership fee over 3 years ago. They haven't been holding their breathe I hope!

Doesn't COM have a deposit on a date for the 2003 opening of CMP.

Really? 2003 probably predates the membership date of 1/2 the current members! I hope we are getting 10% interest on that deposit

Palmer is still a go, but slowed. The status is that the NER SCCA has agreed with Tim Pappis, a racer and Boston condo builder to sell most of the rights for a large consideration. Tim has redesigned the track to meet higher FIA specs so the track may be suitable for higher sanctioned events. Due to cash crunch in the housing market Tim is slow rolling the final approval submission that would kick off the construction. The expectation is "real soon now."

Recent rumors suggest that this new track may not happen despite what is shown in the video. I also heard that the entity that owns Monticello may be looking to buy it and turn it into another exclusive club so none of us will ever get to drive there. There's another track in development in the Keene area that may open sooner than all of the others...

Cy: the track in Newport NH. was supposed to pave this year or the beginning of next year. It is already a motorcycle track, with both a speedway oval and a MotoCross track. Newport NH is only 20 miles North of Keene NH., pretty close for me. I believe the track is going to be much shorter than Monticello, more like Lime Rock.
Monticello is not open to any clubs this coming year. Several of the members filed suite against the track over the rental to clubs like ours. I was supposed to be an exclusive club for the members and several are not happy about the rental. Maybe in another year they might look at it differently. Lets hope so, I did a one day open track, open passing event there in September with Mark Stellato, we had a fantastic time with hours and hours of track time plus a catered lunch.

Maybe they'll be happy when the track is bankrupt and their membership is worthless.

I guess they don't like sharing,or being passed in their Lamborghinis by a Focus..
