1994 Miata

Post by dinoracer » Sat Oct 02, 2010 10:49 pm

I've recently modified the fleet, and find myself with two Miatas. I only have room for one, so this one has to find a new home

1994 Mazda Miata

1.8 L, 5 speed ,165K miles. White with tan top and interior
“C package“. Torsen limited slip diff, power steering, leather-wrapped steering wheel, A/C ( works!) power mirrors, aluminum alloy wheels, headrest speakers, cruise control, power windows, AM/FM/CD.
I bought it off second owner in 2006 with 125k. Runs, drives, stops and goes great. New timing belt and crank seal in Sept . Replaced the factory top with a slightly used tan canvas top from Expoline's stock this summer. Repaired the rust in front of the rear wheels the right way this summer, welding in new patch panels. New Yokohama Avid H4S tires this year. New clutch at 155K. New pads/rotors, front wheel bearings, springs/struts at 149K.

Interior is good, showing it’s age but not embarrassingly so. Paint/body is good, a few dings and clear coat peels, but overall a good “10 footer”. Driver’s power window is slow, power antenna is stuck “up”. Driven 3 seasons only all it’s life by adult owners.

Perfect "starter" car to add a roll bar and fresh pads/tires and autocross or open track it. Drive it to work everyday, run it on the track every weekend. I commute every day in it, and had planned on holding onto it, but recent acquisition of a newer track-ready car, and need to get my remaining Mustang back on the street makes it improbable to keep this one.

Offering to follow COM members first at $ 2800/bo. Craigslist in a week at a higher price (compensation for dealing with CL weirdos...)

Yup.

I no longer will be running the oldest car in COM. Bill Hosselbarth will be, if he chooses to bring it between vintage racing dates :D . Bill's '00 Miata is now living in my garage.

Bill's taking the Mustang to play with it's peers, and I'm going to learn to turn fast laps without the crutch of excessive horsepower...

Car's sold to new owner on the seacoast

I'll miss this one a bit, but I think the new owner may be giving COM a try, so maybe it'll be around next year.

Thanks
