Thanks corner worker& Carl F

Post by jimmacsrx7 » Sun Jul 11, 2010 12:40 pm

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to the vigilant corner workers at NHMS that may have saved my life.My strap for the gas tank broke on lap 2 day two and I noticed the black flag on me immediatly and came in to be told my strap was broke.I was very scared thinking what could have been but gratefull that the corner workers were on the ball.
Thanks to Carl,Mario,Tom,Mark, and others who helped come up with a solution to make the TT>we strapped it up with a tie down.
It was hard to concentrate on driving thinking of the fastest way to exit the car in case of faliure. I lost a vaccume hose after on lap one anyhow and had little power and had to come in.
So at 225.00 for 3 laps the cost to fun ratio really sucked but I am sure many of you can relate to a day gone bad.
Glad to get home to my wife and kids with all my skin in tact :)

Thanks again,

Jim

Yup, scary stuff to have your gas tank dragging on the ground.
Anyhow, glad I could help. And its a good thing you finished at least one lap of the time trial to make it all worthwhile!
