It's too late for those that are there today, but here's some in-car from my ST4 MINI Cooper (not S) of the new chicane from the BMWCCA event on Sunday / Monday:



The first left is now greater than 90°. It looks like there is no longer a good "low" line into turn 1.

The new black pavement was very slippery. The oils were still leaching out of it on Sunday / Monday as it was the first warm / sunny weather since the pavement was put in.

It looked like overall lap times were slower by ~2 seconds. But that could prove to be wrong.

Thanks for the video. 2A looks to be much less of a hard right compared to before- or is that an optical illusion?

Right turn (2A) is sharper and continues further around so hard braking into 2A is necessary to be able to go slow enough to get a full throttle exit through 2b with late apex.

I believe the new layout is actually faster than the old one. This could be because the track surface coming into 2B has been extended slightly to the right, thus effectively making 2B a faster corner and allowing a better launch onto the straight toward 3.

Those are some sweet pictures Naschmitz, i can't believe 111** last time i saw** people signed up for August 1st this is fantastic. Show's the economy isn't that bad, plus a big boost for COM and in a win win situation hence the reason why i like this club! Bring on the good times, Weather looks great for the event too!
