Re: APEX Open House
I believe I will drop by as well. . What the hell....putting that clutch in can wait another week..or two.
Just to see what Les is hiding under that car cover in the corner...
Is it byob,or is this a dry event?
Maybe this should be under events!
Is it spring YET?!

It's not what you drive, it's how you drive. "Lap times matter"

Here is the info!
Kicks off at 10AM. Stop by for a cup of joe and an earful of racing stories (OK, lies)
From what I've heard, turnout should be quite nice! This is a great opportunity to find out about COM, meet with some of our instructors and members, and get ramped up for the oncoming season!
APEX OPEN HOUSE, SATURDAY FEB 28, 2009. 10:00AM - ????? (sometime in the afternoon!)
Apex will be having an open house on Feb 28th. Our main focus will be to bring new members to COM. Much like at DSG, we will invite members from other clubs to attend. Hopefully the more people we educate about track and time trials, the better it will be for COM.
Feel free to cut and past the invite below to any club or group you think would be interested.

Over the past 15 years I have enjoyed autocrossing and track days with both my Miata and Locost. Much of the work performed in our shop - Apex Automotive Engineering - ranges from adding high perfromance accessories to full race-car prep. A question I often get from fellow car enthusiasts is how do I get started in high performance driving - what will it cost, what do I need to do to my car, what safety equipment do I need.
You are invited to attend an Open House at Apex on Saturday, February 28th at 10:00 am where like minded car enthusiasts will be available to talk about your various options for autocross, track days or full-out racing. We’ll have representatives from local clubs that can help you get started on the road to performance driving with your street car. We’ll also have information on car prep and equipment needed to do all this in a safe manner.
If you have specific questions or just want to talk cars, come on down.
Send Lester an email at lsapex@aol.com and let him know you plan on attending.

Re: APEX Open House
Great event, great crowd. Thanks for the invite! The "dummy" tech inspection helped a lot.
