What a great time NHMS4 was! My first time on track with my RWD Atom (or any rwd for me) and it was exciting! I am learning lots of new lines and having to think about the back of the car as being more than just a dead weight tail is eye opening
The cold weather made it very difficult to get any tire grip.I'd come off track and my frt. tire temps would actually be colder than when I started.
The curse of a light car. I will have to work on getting some more appropriate tires.
I had to laugh as Jake and his 69 Camaro came flying by me heading into the bowl.
Not only was the thunder of that motor a killer,to add insult to injury,he spat a bit of coolant and oil onto my visor as he passed.
HA! I couldn't stop thinking how it reminded me of the wild turkeys my dog chases, and how they beat their mighty wings against the air, wailing and then crapping on the dog as they take flight.
Thanks,Jake
And..good job getting your car fixed for Sunday too! Not many would have packed everything up,driven home to Maine, fixed the car,and driven back the next day. That's devotion.
And thanks everyone for making new members feel so welcome!
It really is the membership that makes a club what it is.

It's not what you drive, it's how you drive. "Lap times matter"

Annual Banquet... don't miss that one on January 10th. Great time to meet your track friends show your videos, have a social. There is a suite you can "park" all afternoon prior to the Awards Banquet.breakaway500 wrote:When's the next event?

I've posted a blog about my adventures with Michael Fridmann and his Grand Am Lotus Esprit V8 during the last two events. Here:

Thanks to Michael for letting me drive the car, and to Ray Patriacca and Michael for all the work they did to get the car ready and to fix the various problems that arose during the two weekends. Also thanks to Dan Baldwin and Marc Epstein for loaning us their cars, Lou Milinazzo for giving Ray a ride, and to my brother Nate for letting me drive the incredible BioDiesel Special!
And a big thank you to everyone in COM who helps make these wonderful events happen.
