Can't wait to see what Hamilton does from the back of the starting grid
MotoGP bikes live from Indy at 3pm on NBC. http://www.redbullindianapolisgp.com/
T30 #32 Miata: The Red and Yellow Machine!
Watching the race from about 250M before T1 was pretty interesting, although deeply disappointing with the safety car start; I was looking for some carnage, Raj-style!
Vettel was unchallenged the entire time, he drove well and the lack of spray for the first half of the race really gave him an advantage. The rooster-tails went away after maybe 30 laps, although the track was still damp as the drizzle never really let up. There was some good passing right in front of me a couple of times, as the guys who drafted down the straight pulled out for the pass right before going by at what looked like 170+mph! Definitely a little different than the ALMS races i've been too, although not that different from T3 at NHIS during Group 0!
I watched more on the big-screen that was in front of us though than I had expected too, so I didn't miss out on the dicing that Hamilton and Massa both were doing. That was fun! Many cheers were heard every time Kimi or Felipe made a pass, not surprising given the locale. After the race, I flowed with the throng up the front straight, to see the champagne spraying off of the winners podium. It was a madhouse!
Stephan, I should be back here by then (as I live in Munich), but I will be home for a little while the first week in October. Shoot me an email (rcatucci at gmail) and we can see about rasslin' up a drink or two. There's a sweet vintage Alfa that parks down the street from me, a coupe with a rollbar and and decals, that I think you'd like!

Right you are: electronic lolipops and all the hupla for nothing. I am just glad nobody got seriously hurt because it had the makings of someone being run over or potential fire in the pits. In the 70's we had spaghetti western... this is betterchaos4NH wrote:Hahahahaha!! Those Ferrari pit stops looked like the ones they used to flub up back in the 70's! No way for FIA to help Massa out this time. I guess what goes round comes round!

Racing on TV Sat. Oct 4th
ALMS cars at Road Atlanta for the Petit LeMans race. Coverage on SPEED starts at 11 am until 1pm, then continues at 4pm to 11pm. See night racing using ONLY the car's headlights on a dark racetrack, Very impressive!!
