"The cost for a garage remains the same as previously - $50 per day per garage (providing ample room for two cars). Please do not utilize any garage space prior to registering."
??? So is there going to be garages available or am I missing an inside joke?

It's not what you drive, it's how you drive. "Lap times matter"
I believe that's the standard NHMS blurb on garages.
I was reading the turn by turn description of the track on trakipedia and particularly like this one ..."Just a little side note about the exit of T6. There is a deer path in the woods between T6 and T7. More than one car has hit a deer here, so keep your vision wide." It also says Turn 6 can vbe taken flat out!
Do the survivors eat venison

T6 is nothing more than a wide kink in the road, but get back to the left quickly to set up for T7, which is a late apex turn with a very high FIA curb.John F wrote:I believe that's the standard NHMS blurb on garages.

The track charges $275 to replace a guard rail, $35.00 to straighten a post and you can't afford the deer!

Inside joke. The only tracks we go to with garages are WGI and NHMS.breakaway500 wrote:"The cost for a garage remains the same as previously - $50 per day per garage (providing ample room for two cars). Please do not utilize any garage space prior to registering."

It was a lot of fun coming out of T8 balls out and watching the four cars in front of me light up their brakes like christmas trees..
Or something like that.
I believe both the white and yellow flags are displayed for animals on track. Sometimes the flags are held up to the top of the flagger's head, and extending outward, mimicking antlers (just kidding, an other inside joke).
A couple of seasons ago, lined up and ready to go for the time trial, the starter lifts the flag, leans over my car, yells "there are deer spotted between 7 and 8......GO!", and drops the flag.
Lap one, lift for 7, hmmm...I don't see a dear.
Lap two, lift later for 7, nope, no dear.
Lap three, no lift, hey is that a dea.......rrrrrrrrr schreeeeeeeech.....smoke, burning rubber, car sliding 90° to the track, rear wheels on grass, front on exit curbing rumble strips, grass flying in every direction.
Instead of a hatchet and bucket of white paint, maybe I'll walk the track with a hunting rifle.

Mine too! plus kids, brother and sister in law... and their kids...8 in the car plus hauling my 2,000 lb Italian girlfriend..
I hear rain in the forecast for Monday possibly spilling over for Tuesday.
Then again, maybe not... bring "pneu de pluie" just in case...
Aslo: in compliance with l'Office de la Langue Francaise au Quebec I was planning on conducting the classroom in Français... any objections?
So here's a lexicon just in case:
Racing Line = la ligne
Apex = tangence
Track-out = accelleration
Both feet in (for Bruce's sake) = Wow, wow tabarnac!
The track is wet = wow, wow tabarnac!
Watch the deer = wow, wow tabarnac!

Thanks for the translation guide, Stephan. I know a little français, but those last few had me puzzled, so I looked them up. In doing so I found this little gem for interested Francophiles:StephanAlfa wrote: Watch the deer = wow, wow tabarnac!
Quebec French Profanity
Thank you Wikipedia for teaching the stuff they never teach you in French class.
I hope I never have to use any of this on the track. Any time you need profanity while driving, it's not a good thing.
