I thought the new construction at Lime Rock had already taken place. Didn't look like it.

speaking of 'construction', I was at MT last Wednesday and thought I'd let ya'll know they're in the midst of paving the access road, Ch.Seguin...finally!
Had to enter through the spectator entrance, and across the infield over the top of Bridge Turn. It should be finished in a couple weeks.

ON a not entirely unrelated note, while there, was chatting with local hot shoe and current Russell School head instructor, JF Dumoulin. JF mentioned that he's finally got a full season Koni Series ride in the #5 BMW M3 (Blackforest Racing) with Tom Nastasi...however I didn't see him take the wheel during the Lime Rock race at all (I may have dozed off last night, or did they clip 30 min of the race?).

Ridiculous how someone with so much talent, so many GrandAm wins, Chamionships, several Rolex 24 wins, etc, still has has to struggle so much to get a full season paying ride (although he did say he's also doing a couple of Rolex series events in some longer races, and maybe a DP car).

They started digging up the track part right after the Mem day race. Down for a couple of months. Two SCCA regional races cancelled.

AWESOME weekend events!!! Rolex and F1 :)

BTW: My friends at F2000 Championship Series are one of the support races at WGI this weekend. Debated entering the race, but the my engine decided that for me at recent SCCA event (cracked top end block cam holder, a known weak spot in this lousy old engine design). Eh, engine was tired anyway so new top end on it's way for a mere couple-a hundred bucks :)

That's great!
Just want to share one of the gifts my boys gave me. A bunch of coupons for "coffee in bed, make up my bed", etc.... but the NUMBER ONE coupon was:
"Five free races without Mom nagging"
That one was the BEST! \:D/ =D> :thumbright:

I hate it when a non-Speed TV decides to broadcast at a time of their choice. This delayed broadcast is nerve wrecking. So I went and read the narrated version livevia internet (of course not the same...). At 1 PM when I decided to watch the race, my inlaws showed up to help me work on the patio (wifes request) so I put it to record and went outside to dig. Then rain comes pouring down and by then it was 3 . While I rewound the VHS I noticed my kids messed with the settings so nothing got recorded... Arghhh! ](*,)
My only consolation is Massa won, and is now leading in the points. =D> \:D/
