Banquet registration problems

Post by grovefromnh » Sun Dec 16, 2007 7:29 am

My WebTv won't go beyond 'add to cart' I also couldn't fill in my profile. Who do I send a check to?

WebTV?

Post by boltonite » Sun Dec 16, 2007 10:15 am

I have to admit we did not test w/ WebTV, I figured everyone would use a PC or Mac with a normal (industry-standard) browser.

Pls PM me about the problems you experienced registering, I am curious. I admit to know virtually nothing about WebTV, there may be compatibility issues w/ our site software (ASP.NET 2.0).

If you have access to a PC or Mac w/ IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari, or Netscape, pls try using one of those. Thanks.

p.s. Note: When you create an account at the site, you will be specifying your email address, first name and last name, which is all the profile info you need for the banquet (i.e., you don't need to edit your profile).

Also, after you click ADD TO CART for the banquet, click VIEW CART DETAILS on the left-hand navigation to view your cart and display the CHECKOUT button you must click to checkout.

That part could be cleaned up if 'Checkout Now' and/or 'Continue' buttons could be added to the screen. I scratched my head for a moment or two before I figured it out.

There used to be a WebTV emulator you could download from the
WebTV site. I used it during the last site redesign to make sure
things still worked.

Of course, since Microslop took it over, the web site is currently
broken, so I don't have a link for you.

The mail-to address is listed on the site. The COMSCC Treasurer's email is comscc@comcast.net. Not sure he reads the forum. HTH -FF.

My web tv can't go beyond the 'click to paybycheck' There is a black box with dark blue lettering that I can't read in the lower left of the site. I need the goddamn mailing address to send the money. How tough can this be?

Thank You Carl!!! In years past we have had a 'banquet director' and the checks have been mailed to them. The check is in the mail to P aul today.
