Re: Tow vehicle chat time

Paddy and I tow with our fathers 97 Chevy 2500 van. It certainly doesn't 'just barely get by.' Paddy towed home another Subaru with a friends '01 Suburban (5.3 4spd auto) and said it was good, but he'd prefer the van. Maybe the big difference is the 2500 vs 1500, or 97 vs 07, rather than the Suburb...

Re: Tow vehicle chat time

I am quite happy with my 07 5.3L Sierra Crew 4spd Auto. Its not a diesel, but it does tow my Camaro (3400lbs) on trailer (1900 lbs) with all my gear (1000 lbs) in the bed quite well. The advantage of having a new 1/2 ton truck (decent ride, 20 mpg highway, quiet) for an all around vehicle and tow ri...

Re: Misc. thoughts on no events in Canada anymore :(

Chris, trophies are a small cost factor, less than two entries worth. Awards total $9,071 for the year... I meant eliminating them across the board for all events. Even if we did year end awards, we could still save a bit of $$... PCA gives out 50 cent ribbons and noone has any less fun as far as I...

Re: Misc. thoughts on no events in Canada anymore :(

I feel it is a tremendous shame to lose the 2 Canadian events. Both events have certainly been underattended however as it has been brought up, part of this has to do with scheduling (scheduling an event on what is traditionally a family holiday weekend may be an invitation for disaster). Another pa...

Forget about trying to interpret the ST rules. Just go SP and have fun improving your car instead of endlessly debating the splitting of hairs. I know I shouldn't take it to heart but you have to admit it is just a tad aggravating that in order to stay remotely competitive ( I still have a long way...

I know he ran SPA, thats what he was bitch'n about about. He though he should be able to run ST class, but I also think his motor was modified which would put him in SP also. Nope... stock motor with an aftermarket exhaust and airbox... not my fault the stock Z/28 puts down 315-320 at the wheels (a...

429 miles and 55 gallons of 93 (A personal best on fuel mileage before dumping a pile of lugnuts on pit road). This was my first trip to Mosport but hopefully not my last. The weather was a lot better than the weather man promised so I can't be too mad about the wet laps. The staff at the track seem...
