Why couldn't we use our phones with earbuds?

Hi Carl
at Palmer, the cell service is very dependant on your carrier - some have no signal at all
OK, that's a good reason.

Re: 2020 TT Season

I would attend an event without concern about germ sharing in the paddock. The toilet is on another level though, so maybe if we brought our own chlorox wipes... No flushing them, though. For students, the lead follow idea may be worth a try, but only if we can establish clear car-car communication....

Re: Free Lemons Fiero project car

Thanks for the last chance. A buddy is currently looking for a lemons project car. At one point in a former life, he was into Fieros. He's in Florida, I sent him the info, and he's considering it. I even offered to trailer it down for him. But, he hasn't said to go check it out, so, I guess its a no...

Re: Free Lemons Fiero project car

Very tempting, but speaking of no extra space...
Where is the car located? Not to get in the way of any other takers, but I may want to come have a look.

Re: WANTED: E36 drivetrain expert

Thank you for the additional clarification, I have passed it along. The driveshaft part number and the specific year I believe was the key.

Thank you, that looks like a good resource for the future. We might have this figured out now, but I'll keep the link just in case.

Re: WANTED: E36 drivetrain expert

That is extremely helpful, thank you. I will pass this information along to the gentleman who is doing the work. My interpretation of the problem as it was explained to me on the phone may be somewhat incorrect, but the variations you point out between the different years within the same model could...

WANTED: E36 drivetrain expert

I have some (fairly) urgent questions with regard to a transmission swap in an E36. We need to complete a project before April, so I need advice with regard to mixing and matching components. Evidently, the M3 used a ZF transmission while the standard 328 used a Getrag. This resulted in the use of a...

Ed was my second ever instructor back in 1999. Scott is right, he was super patient, and was able to explain aspects of driving in a manner that appealed to my view of the world. Sorry to see him go.
RIP Ed.

Re: Stephen Hosker

So sad. The last time I saw Steve, he had his arms shoulder deep into a Miata doing an engine swap at the Wasilko's house. It was January, 2017 and several of us were there working/socializing. I knew he had been sick but had no idea the situation was so dire. We'll be missing Steve (the one with th...

Re: want to rent out your trailer?

You can try mine, but my low car has some difficulty getting onto it. There is a work around... I often have to jack up the tongue while it is still connected to the truck. The back of the trailer then gets lower so the incline angle of the ramps is reduced. It works. I'm in CT though. Depending on ...

Re: Laura Fleming

My heart and thoughts are with you and Laura.
We had a good outcome with an unplanned stay at B&W. Great care, and a cure came out of it where others were (far) less optimistic.
If anyone is capable of a "speedy" recovery, it would be Laura.
