Re: Anyone have connections with Solar (PV) system installers in MA?

Quick update for the first year in operation. I am using August as the acid test, because it is usually the highest month for electric usage. Even with adding a fourth AC unit, and running longer and more often, this month's usage was still %100 solar. I don't know the details of the components, but...

Re: E36 rear LCAs

The way I see it is: The Turner and the factory arms give the desired camber setting with out being at max adjustment. But If the max adjustment of the Turner arm is greater than the max adjustment of the stock arm, a point should be taken. If the max adjustment of the Tuner arm is not greater than ...

Re: Anyone have connections with Solar (PV) system installers in MA?

Your entire system is 1.2 kw? Is it 12 instead? Otherwise it works out to 1146 producing hours per month. Carl, I was off by a decimal point, I fixed it above. " I have beed producing about 1,375 KWh/month with 1.2 KW DC panel" Wow..that's pretty substantial. How many square feet of panels...

Re: Anyone have connections with Solar (PV) system installers in MA?

No, I'm saying that the first month, the solar generated all but 10KWh, which turned out to be about $2 of electricity usage. I have beed producing about 1,375 KWh/month with 13 KW DC panel system. I'm seeing how things go this year, and if keep running 100% solar, I'll switch to electic hot water. ...

Re: Anyone have connections with Solar (PV) system installers in MA?

I recently had a solar system installed through Sunrun. We have been very happy with the process and the results. So for we have run 100% solar for the last 3 months, and the first month was 10KWh.

Re: Gutting interior of touring car

I'll give you the cliff notes version of the rule. The previous rule book stated that the street classes needed both front seats in place. So the intent of the rule was to allow a competitor to add the petty bar, as a safety item without moving the car into one of the prepared classes.

Re: Working with Lexan.

Hey Mark, I have used lexan quite a bit in my stock car days, but I only used the 1/8" or 3/16" stuff. I cut it with tin snips and drilled it with steel bits. I have always used rivits to fasten but bolts should be fine. I did use 1/4" on a spoiler I made and I can tell you it is toug...

Re: Likely won't meet any of the current COM rules, but...

I have seen a three wheeled Morgan at a vintage event, and it looked like it handled as well as the other cars in its group. The UK Top Gear had one of the continuation Morgans featured on an episode and it looked quite safe. Given that, if it would be allowed at a COM event, you would need all the ...

Re: Water & Methanol/Ethanol Inj - Question

Also by the definition in the rule book, You are allowed to inject just water without meeting these requirements though would still have to add the points for the mod? From what I understand about water/aclohol injection systems is that the cooling of the charge with water gives the most benefit in...

Re: 1965 mustang fastback on craigslist

I remember his other Mustang. I'm pretty sure it was a red, mid 90's fox body convertible. I did talk to him one day he when he had the red convertible there, he was quite a nice guy. Then again, I wouldn't think the guys who had to follow him around in run group 3 would think so.
