Re: to loud at tremblant ?

"I do not believe that COM wants to be the sound policeman." Sam I agree. I was that guy when the sound started becoming an issue. Not a fun place to be. Nate, I thought that the club already had a sound meter. We had one for the Bridge and it was still part of the Event Op's stuff when I ...

Re: Swaybar question

The braided brake line is from when the Ford Mustang Cobra first came out. There was an issue on that car that needed to be addressed. The replacement braided brake line was the answer. I forget why all of SS got the allowance, I guess it was to be fair to all.

Re: Daytona 24 hr Race next weekend

I was just looking at the Daytona site and noticed Bruce. It will be exciting to see a fellow COM guy make good.

I am also going down to watch the race live. It will be different watching an enduro race and not having to do anything!

I actually think that it was a early '80's Dodge Charger or Plymouth Turismo.

window net vs arm restraint

I understand that there is no practical difference in safety on the track between the two but operationally it becomes a problem. If you allow an option it becomes a problem for the safety workers as you now expect them to know which cars have window nets and which have arm restraints and that can d...

As a fomer steward and board member I would say that if the rule does not allow it you are illegal and that you would lose the protest. However most likely if no one protest you no one will know and you can submit a rule change proposal at the end of the year to make it legal

I never got to drive the great track, but I worked many events. The mid July event was always a fav. I remember working thru a hurricane one year. I remember the tent cities, inflatable pools, cookouts(kegs) and the beach parties. I also tried to convince a friend to let me borrow his diesel rabbit ...

Thanks, I reviewed that and many of the exercises are similar to what I am doing at EVOC (Emergancy Vehicle Operations Course). For you autoxer's what I don't like at this event is you have to nail all the event on the first try or they deduct points. No going 80% to get a good time and then going f...

Newbie info packet

I was wondering if anyone has a copy of the packet on their computer that they could email me that explains the line, what an apex is etc... I am taking a course and a lot of people are asking questions that this would help explain. Everything I have seems a bit long winded and technical. Thanks, Ch...

I believe that this would be handled similar to cases such as the C5 Corvette as they had different diamiter front and rear tires and that you would be able to run the wider rim. You would probably be covered under this section. "b. The rim width used is among the rim widths recommend by the ti...

I do not think that it makes sense to post any prelim. results. The results become official something like 1/2 hour after the event ends if I remember correctly and this is part of the reason it take some time after the conclusion of the Time Trial. Given the way I know the Timing and Scoring works ...
