Re: 2nd gen BRZ points for 2024

Dan, it should be 1.5 not 2.5. I'll copy over the rational I had when agreeing with this proposal in the stewards chat (copy/paste from over there with other stewards names pulled): In my opinion 1-1.5 points could be warranted, but much more could be overstating the average. We should keep in mind ...

Re: new to COMSCC drivers.

We've done lead follow for situations like this in the past. It may make sense for the student to check with the chief instructor via email before registering chiefinstructor@comscc.org You may want to send an email to rules@comscc.org to request they be classified too if they're running two day eve...

Re: rush SR

Have you classed these cars in COM? It'd be interesting to see where they land. I wonder if they're touring legal or only super?

- Gas at the pumps will be available to purchase at any time with your credit/debit card. The fluid shed will be open at the times designated at the driver meeting. Please NO filling up inside the garages. Did they fix the pumps this year for self service? That'd be welcomed. Thanks Dennis, see you...

Looks like this was mostly answered in the app, but we have access Thursday night. I don't know what time, but keep an eye out for Dennis' event writeup.

Re: Brake pads for heavy turds

Am I going to have a problem running sessions but no time trial with an unclassed car? I don’t see my old wagon listed on the Touring list and don’t plan to run any time trials, so classification is somewhat irrelevant in my case. No, that should be fine. A steward can class the car at the event if...

Re: 2021 T50 suspension rules question

I think so. Maybe another way to say it is: In general If you are installing a suspension component to gain an alignment range greater than factory then you take +1 point. You don’t have to take a 2nd point for the specific item not being factory spec. I don’t think the intent is “I can change this...

Re: 2021 T50 suspension rules question

You are missing this point which covers the camber plate - camber gain advantage. - Paul G. I have a question about this specific rule, but related to ball joints. I have the extended lower ball joints on my NA Miata. Ball joints are 0 point, but alignment outside factory specs is 1 point. Do I hav...

Re: Brake pads for heavy turds

Yeah, I do have to agree with Jon again. RT660s are a good sweet spot, I personally got around 12 days out of my practice set this year and they're still not quite corded (but are heat cycled out and a bit slower). I also run them in the TT and had good results with them. Just keep in mind they run ...

Re: Brake pads for heavy turds

For tires: I’m looking for something that won’t chunk after a few hot laps but weight may be against me in this case. I don’t care about lap times and would prefer durability but I’m not sure that exists in the 200tw range. I can use my street tires (PS4S) in the wet so tread pattern isn’t a concer...
