Re: Thompson assistance - many thanks

Dude - I know you would do it for me in a second, too!!

It was hilarious to come off the track and go "wow, that truck looks exactly like mine!"

You had a tough weekend, man - glad I could do something to make it a little easier (and thanks for the single malt!)

Re: Palmer 1: June 1-2, 2018 Event Info

Fyi, we paved the ambulance slip (after T1) so everyone can run 3 TT laps w/o a cool-down lap ... and STAY ON THE ASPHALT... ... speaking of which, we have delineated ~60 paved parking spots for those not in a garage or carport. PARK BETWEEN THE LINES. And speaking of cheap: SHOW SOME RESTRAINT w/ ...

Nice work, Troy - that is a huge accomplishment to get us back there. I am super excited about going back there. Also, I get first run at the longest slide in the world after first day practice!! :D :D :D

Re: Rules pages 55-56 TIRES

I guess the only question I would have is - what problem are we attempting to solve? Fixing a potential point rating issue with the BFGs and Hankooks as Stephen posted, or something else? I am the only person in T40 to run Hoosier R7s (as far as I know) - How I ended up there is that I thought about...

Re: How did You hear about COM?

I am loving these stories. I believe it was back in 2002/2003 that I started autocrossing with first the Mass Miata Club and SCCA, then the Renegade Miata Club which split off of Mass Miata to be more autocross-focused. My first ever instructor at the autocross was none other than COM's Lester Seal!...

225 street tire (-2), dyno reclass, and maybe a little ballast and you could probably sneak into T40...

Also, do you need to take a point for your LSD? Some E46s must have come with them stock.
Hey, who asked you?!? :D :D

No more crashing T40 mid-season!!!!

Re: Tire feedback

Obligatory anti-anti-Miata statement, since it is you, Stephan. Yet another reason why "miata is always the right answer" is 205/50/15 tires are cheap and plentiful! The spec miata Hoosier SM7 (same as the R6, is $179) The SM7 is not actually the same as the R6. It's the R6 carcass...

Re: Tire feedback

Can of worms, open! The one thing I will offer is tires seem to be so personal in terms of people's driving style and preference, both from a brand and model, but also in terms of ideal pressures and how they feel as a result. Good example: I love Toyo RR's, I know Troy and Will (and others) don't r...
