Just a heads up to C5 Corvette owners...
On Friday during lap 1 of my time trial as I headed towards turn 9 my RF tire locked up all on its own...it definitely caught me by surprise. It turns out that the water pump pulley snapped off and snagged the ABS harness which caused the RF tire to lock up. It looks like a fatigue break on the pull...

Re: WTB: Fender rolling for $$?
I almost bought a fender roller to tuck larger/wider wheels and tires under my wifes S2000. After thinking about it and realizing that would probably be the one and only time I would use the fender roller - I fired up the cut-off wheel and made some room for the new sneakers. I'm sure a NB isn't exa...

Re: Watkins Glen
Further suggestions: eliminate the track-out cones at Ts 1, 10 & 11, and allow four-offs at Ts 1 & 10; I can't recall if either of these are already the case. The open-lapping groups run this way, and it hasn't seemed to result in any issues now that the T1 & T10 runoff areas are fully ...

Re: NJMP-Lightning 2013 videos
I've been meaning to post this, finally had some time tonight. I was driving my wifes S2000 when Dana passed me and provided a text book example of "in a spin, both feet in!" Nice job Dana!

FS: Used Hoosier A6's 315/30R18 $45ea.
I have 14 used Hoosier A6's 315/30R18 with anywhere from 8-12 heat cycles on them. Some are dated 2011 and some are 2012, can provide pics upon request and I can deliver them to NHMS June 1/2 $45ea.

Re: New Rules - Tech, Policing, and Scrutineers
...not all that unlike now, a race spec Corvette ends up in Super A, and a race spec Miata ends up in Super C. That reminds me, how did Michael Fuchswanz end up in T100? I had assumed he was going to move from PA into Super B. Not complaining, mind you. Hi Doug! Like Chrispy said, our Silver '02 C5...

Re: Rules for 2013
This is certainly interesting to read, many good points being made. Just went through the classification tool with 2 cars and it seems about right. Our '02 C5 Z06 all stock with the exception of sway bars and tires came to 99.20 (T100) and my race car came to 9.90 (Super B). Curious to hear the mock...

Re: Used Tires?
Nick, The A6's in my opinion would be perfect for TT or even some full 25-30min sessions. My car weighs about 3250lbs. (with me in it) and I run the A6's for 40min sprint races. They "come in" extremely fast (they feel great even after only one warm up lap usually) and as others have said ...

Re: Is it ok to bring family
I brought my wife and 14 mo. old to Summit Point and they also usually come to the races. We try to park away from the really busy parts of the track so that it is safer/not as much noise. Both of them have a great time and plan on coming to more events, but we will not be at the next NHMS event.
