Re: Lemons Feeler
I would be interested if you start a team! I have a truck, no trailer (yet), some metalworking/welding skills and equipment, but no garage. Do E30s still get crazy penalty laps these days? I have a bone stock one with questionable cosmetics that has been laying dormant for like 5 years.

Re: WANTED: E36 drivetrain expert
One further clarification that I did not mention is that the incompatibility of the M3 differential to the non-M differential is unique to the 1995 model year. The 95 M3 has a driveshaft unique to the model year as well, as the driveshaft has a CV joint in the rear instead of a u-joint, and it attac...

Re: WANTED: E36 drivetrain expert
The 95 M3 used a ZF310, 96-99 M3 used a ZF320. The 96-99 328 used a ZF320 and not a Getrag 250. All 3 of these cars used a transmission output flange with a PCD of 96 mm. I do not know why you have a Getrag 250 on your 328 with an transmission output flange with a PCD of 78 mm. That does not come as...

Re: Sim racing advice
I didn't build my computer, my brother did. I would have done it myself but he wanted to test a bunch of different stuff out at the same time. It's not too difficult, especially if you're building a fairly normal gaming system. The basics of putting a computer are the same, but the components, inter...

Re: Sim racing advice
In terms of "cheap", you can run iRacing on a pretty basic system if you plan on only using one screen. Many people do it. I get schooled by people in Spain probably running a Core2 Duo and a single 22" monitor. You should be able to put together a budget, fairly high performance comp...

Re: Mitsubishi Evo (prepared something.. something)
Yep, I also got 6.33 using the numbers you provided -- the alternate power I got was 418.6. As it stands with the 418.6 hp Option B calculated power, you'd have to get to a competition weight of 2721 lbs to squeak into Super A. Car: 2470 lbs You: 180 lbs Helmet and HANS: 6 lbs+ _____________ 2656 lb...

Re: Mitsubishi Evo (prepared something.. something)
You can probably class lower than SU if you use Option B: Option B: The following formula may be used in lieu of providing actual power figures for a Super class vehicle, regardless of which value is higher (emphasis mine): Power = Displacement multiplier x Valves/Cylinder Multiplier x RPM Multiplie...

Re: How did You hear about COM?
I really liked reading the "origin stories"! I started by doing autocross for a couple years; it was there I met Troy who ran NE-SVT. At the urging of Nick DeRosa I did my first event with COM in 2009 with Nate Hine as my instructor. I think I only did Day 1 at NHMS, because I admit, I fou...

Engine Swap reclass --> impact to drivetrain points?
I have an engine swapped car, and I have to reclass using engine output figures. Because I am using a different engine, I'm using the stock dual mass flywheel flywheel and clutch that came with the engine and not the car. Do I need to take a point for non factory trim flywheel / clutch? Also I am us...

Two sets of Kosei K1 15x8 ET22 5x120
I have for sale two sets of Kosei K1 wheels. They do not look pretty being caked up with brake dust, but they are great lightweight wheels. One set has 225/45R15 NT-01s mounted with a 46th week of 2014 date code on all four tires. I bought the tires a couple of weeks before Palmer 2 and ran them two...

Re: Suggestion for changing time trial format
I like this idea.
My only question is what happens if there's a flag that requires the track to be shut down for the wrecker (like at Palmer). Will the session just be extended? I.e. control brings everyone in, the wrecker retrieves the car, then control re-releases the cars?
