As a basic example, would this be considered a good deal?

Re: Wanted: Miata for newbie
Thanks for the responses so far folks. To elaborate more, I think I would rather start at the bare minimum for track use. Having a car that is fun to whip around is just as important as something that is easy to maintain and have for a Summer cruiser on the weekends. If i were to get a "street&...

Re: Wanted: Miata for newbie
I was looking through this old thread as I am giving some serious thought to buying a "track/weekend" car this Winter. Using my daily driver on the track has been too stressful and all the signs are pointing towards the Miata as a good car for this purpose. I had some questions for the man...

Re: New member
I don't think I got a chance to meet you but it was a blast sharing the track with you. I was enjoying the engine sounds when trying to keep up with you in the corners

Re: Gran Turismo 5
I have done some online racing in GT5 and its not bad...better than prologue. You still have bonehead drivers but the speed/integrity of the game is improved. One cool feature I saw was before a race there was a 6-7 minute open track practice session. People could enter and leave as they wanted (unt...

Re: Gran Turismo 5
So far I would have to say GT5 is great...there are a few things I wanted to see improved but I'm having alot of fun with it. I do agree with the earlier post, the AI is atrocious (biggest issue I have.) Driving down the straights they will just bash into you from the side or worse rear end you and ...

Re: Gran Turismo 5
I agree the car list is somewhat disappointing. Do they really need that many Skylines? The devloper is Japanese though so that is to be expected. However there are some new features that make this game very promising even compared to GT4. The premium cars have full cockpit views, there is damage, a...

Not sure if there are any gamers in COM but Gran Turismo 5 comes out a week from today on the PS3. It been in development since 2006 and has over 1000 cars to drive. Chances are your car is featured in the game

Strut Bar
Hi all, A friend of mine who lives in the Midwest has started a side gig fabricating strut bars. He has generously offered to make me one for a WRX I am waiting to take delivery on. :D From reading the rule book it seems i would be moved up to the ST class with a strut bar installed. Because I use m...

I also want to thank the club for putting on a great event yesterday and send a big thanks to Tim and Haydn for helping me get my brakes sorted out before my time trial run. Unfortunately I won't be making the trip to NJ but I can't wait till next season!

Re: Rookie Questions
Thanks for the responses everyone. I have a better idea of what to expect. I would love to attend the August event for a ride along but I am camping down in the cape that weekend (praying for no rain.)
